History in the Making

TODAY is mom's Convocation day. and i got sun burnt -_- yosh! due to standing under the sun from 9 am to 1 pm..... and i was wearing a black v-neck top .... go figure. I can't wear no spaghetti strapped top now. But hey, at least i wasn't wearing white cuz i read somewhere that white actually is cooling for your body but then it will reflect the heat onto your face (sHOckING!) and there goes the freckles and the pimples. Whereas black will actually absorb the sunlight, hence came your sweat. SO the moral of the story is that your should wear black if you know you're going to get exposed to the sun; bring lots of tissues with you too! (or handkerchief for better absorbent :D)

There's me, dad, younger sis and couz Irene who tagged along. Only 2 can enter the graduation hall to watch so being the 2 'hong sou' poh, me and Irene "sacrificed" to stay out and walk around while dad and sis sit through the ceremony (which turns out to be a blessing as my sister told me it was dead shit boring..... MU wat... what you expect rite?). Simultaneously there was a carnival thingy going on, food, flowers, stuffed toys, MU merchandise (YaH...i WOULd buy).........then there was the commercial stalls from anything to everything.....digi prepaid card also got... mamee monster also got hahaha. me n couz had to hang around until 11 or 12 so after making a full round visit to the stores, we bought loads of food, found the perfect spot n sit down there digging in.

Here's where the hiStoRy in thE making paRt comes in........my couz bought a bouquet of roses and a huge winnie the poOH wearing a graduation haT thingY rite.. then we went outside the hall waiting for mom to come out. While waiting, us girls were chatting there... gossip about other peoplee....saying how nice our roses are as compared to their fake ones (YOSH!!! people do buy fake flowers for their love ones) ... then came to the million dollar question of whether my dad would actually buy FLoWERS for my moM? Now i must tell you a little story about my parents... they have been married for 20 over years but my mom has not received a single stalk of flower before from my dad (kinda makes me wonder how he proposed my mom dei). This however, does not only applies to my dad.... in the LEE family, the men have a long-standing history of NOT practicing the flowers-giving tradition to their spouses AT ALL. My mom joKes about it.... my aunts rant about it. There's this one time my cousinz tried to sort of meddle into things... we secretly bought 2 stalks of roses in the middle of the night during valentine's day, woke my mom and my aunt up and present to them the roses saying that it was a gift from our dads.... both ladies craCkEd up hard man... It was so obvious to them that our dads won't do such things but heY.. at least we had a good laugh about it until today hahaha THat's bEsides the point ANYWAYZ so i told my couz that the day my dad buys flowers for my mom is the day Malaysia snows. the moment i said that... we noticed that my dad is nowhere at sight already when just a few moments ago he was waiting with us... which means he wandered elsewhere to do something..... and that SOMETHING could be........................ TADAAaaaaaaaaa !!!!!

THE MORAL OF THE STORY is......... people do change... for better or worse, stubborn or not, one way or the other, CHANGE never cease to happen :D
